True to the original and I really dig the guitar/harpsichord combination. Have you ever translated the lyrics to this song? They're very moving!

To each his own I guess....Anyway I think this is a good example of a game over loop if I ever heard it. Just enough sadness to make you feel bad for losing but then it gives you that brief glimmer of hope that makes you think, "Gee, maybe I SHOULD continue!"

YAY you hit it on the nail perfectly :)

Look, I'll come right out and say that I don't know a whole lot about classical composing. What I will say, however, is that I feel strongly for the potential of this piece to really take off. Let me know when you finish this.

WTF is useYOURname talking about? Sure this isn't a "traditional" country song...if there is such a thing. I mean if you look at the progression of country music from the turn of the century to the present day, you'll find that it never retained any true form but was constantly changing. Johnny Cash anyone? Now there was a guy who changed the genre! Anyway, in my opinion, country music should be categorized as country music because of its subject matter. This song in particular touches on one of the most common issues of country music, having money and lacking money.

Thanks man. I think useYOURname has one too many chromosomes.

of autotune despite how many careers it has started and sustained. I remember watching a documentary that showed how easy it was to take a model without an ounce of musical talent and make it look like she could sing...very disturbing in my opinion. But I will give you points for knowing how to harmonize and applying it to this song. Any chance you could do the whole thing?
Author's Response:
Yeah, you're totally right about Autotune. When I record regular songs I don't ever use it, but for this I wanted a really polished sound. Also it would be extremely difficult to make everything exactly perfect in a six-part harmony. Also, this thing was mostly made for fun, the original is like pop-punk (I'll probably post it on here at some point).

That anyone can sample, but not everyone can sample well. I think this piece serves as an example of how to take divergent samples and give them cohesion. I've dabbled in the art, and I can say from personal experience that it is no simple task.
Author's Response:
Hey thanks a lot man. That really means a lot.
...and you're right, sampling isn't easy especially if u wanna do it right. Ppl that do it right, IMO, are of course J Dilla, Lotus, 9th Wonder, and other artists. Check em out!
